Graham joined Grasshoppers at Lightfoot Green in the mid 70s and was a lifelong member, Stroller, 1869’er and friend to many over close on 50 years.
Graham was a born and bred Barrow man, and a steadfast supporter of Barrow Football Club. He played his early rugby at Furness Rugby Club before moving to Preston.
He was married to Maureen in 1979, and she was the love of his life. They had two daughters Sarah and Lucy, latterly granddaughter Maple Alba arrived.
Many of Graham's old friends will remember the escapades with Graham on Friday nights during the 70s. Particularly important in memory is the Grasshoppers trip to the Cayman Islands in 1979 as well as numerous Stroller’s tours. The one trip that Graham wanted to forget, was his long walk home to Whalley after saying “no” to a lift from Maureen.
Graham will be fondly remembered by his friends from his Stroller’s teammates where he played front row from the 70s until the current century, his continued friendship with Stroller colleagues will be a long-lasting memory.
Rest in peace Graham
