And we are back with the first games of 2025, coming back after the Christmas break well rested and ready to resume our fantastic season. Our 1sts, 3rd, 4th and 5th teams all played this week against Southport, St Annes 3-1-5 3rds and 4th squash teams and we are happy to report the second half of the season is off to a flying start with multiple victories for Hoppers.

The 5th team won all their games, conceding not one match to 3-1-5s 4th team, continuing the dominant run from last year and moving to the top of their divisions table! The 4ths also won their games against 3-1-5s 3rd team, remaining at the top of their table and extending a commanding lead over the rest of their division.

Our 3rds were unfortunately unlucky with a 4-1 loss against St Annes but have still done excellent work sitting at 5th in their division, ranking just below our own 2nd team.

The 1sts also had a fantastic game against Southport and special shout out to players Kirby and Simon both coming back from 2 games down to take the win for Hoppers.

Next week our 2nds and 3rds are in action against Blackpool Northern 1st team and David Lloyd Chorley 2nds, so let’s keep the new year momentum and make 2025 one of the best years for Hoppers Squash yet!!!
