On Saturday 14th December, we are on the road for Matchday #13, in National League Two North. After three negative results, we currently sit in 8th in the table. This isn’t where we want to be and our form at times this season hasn’t been good enough. I’ve spoken about consistency lots of times this already, and from a performance point of view, this continues to elude us as times.
Last Saturday, we were well beaten at home by a Hull Ionians team that simply adapted to the conditions better and wanted it more. Playing into a strong wind in the first half and losing a player on 20 minutes to a red card are excuses that we can tell each other were the reason, but the reality is that we just were not smart enough or accurate enough to cause Hull Ionians problems. Also, we are not about making excuses.
After a tough video review on Tuesday, and a very good training week, we have the opportunity to go again on Saturday. Lymm have been the form team in the league until last Saturday, where they were beaten on the road, at Sheffield. Today presents another big challenge for us. As always though, we go into the game with high confidence and a belief that we are ‘on it,’ we are a great team, capable of scoring lots of points. There is no doubt that we will need to be ‘on it’ against Lymm.
Thanks, as always, for the support!
