Hoppers 2nd XV look to back up their opening win of the season at Macclesfield when they welcome Wirral to Lightfoot Green on Saturday.

Assistant 1st XV Coach Alan Haworth gave his thoughts ahead of the game, "After a good performance last week, the seconds look to build against a Wirral side that had a good result themselves. Training has been really good and positive, looking at a few areas that didn’t quite click last Saturday but building on the things that did."

"With such a big squad rotation is important to give lads game time and again we are able to field a strong team. The lads played really well last week and it’s important that we keep building and stay consistent. We're really looking forward to the 1st home game of the season and I know the lads are very eager and can’t wait to go again”
