After a Challenging few weeks with 3 Losses in a row for the 2s, we showed how good of a team we really can be on Saturday Afternoon.
An attacking affair for both teams with 17 tries coming from all over pitch.
Hoppers started strong with a well worked move sending in Collings for his first try of the season. Lymm quickly responded with one of their own until Castle went over the line in his first game back giving us the 14-7 advantage.
Lymm responded strong with their quick backline and some individual brilliance scoring three tries and going into the half 14-26
Unlike previous weeks, we responded positively to the challenge bagging 6 consecutive tries in the 20 minutes after half time from Corlett (2), Taylorson (2), Bradshaw and Cross. Murray then went over to make it 52-33.
Lymm didn’t give up and managed to score another 3 tries in the last 10 minutes, but Hoppers held on to their lead till the end.
Much improved from previous weeks and heading in the correct direction for Sedgley Park (a) next week.
