A last minute kick off change due to the weather and with still some tricky conditions to play in, what transpired was an absolute quality game of rugby!
High scoring, big tackles. scything runs and no drop in the intensity throughout the game even with Yarnbury only making the journey with 13 players. Despite this both teams put on a display that would be a dream advert as to why you should watch women's rugby!
A huge credit to Yarnbury who did with club, coach, themselves and women's rugby a just service, they never let up and scored some well worked try's. However, the day was Hoppers as they finally got off the mark with their first win of the season after coming agonisingly close in previous games which is never easy.
Great scores from the UCLan women in our ranks and some great try's from Hoppers, new and experienced. So many great displays across both teams you have to give it at least an 8/10 for everyone who stepped onto the pitch at Lightfoot Green!
